In July, members of the Henge 19 team led sessions at St Birinus Primary School, covering poetry, drawing, notebook making, musical composition , prehistoric art and sculpture. These were perfect activities for the children at the end of the summer term; they had a great time and produced some fine work. The outlying stone in the henge, lit in a different colour, was made by them.
The children’s work went on display in Dorchester Abbey for several weeks.
The sessions were run by:
- Rosie Southon and Sophia Stewart-Liberty (prehistoric art)
- Adrian Brookes (sculpture)
- Miranda Creswell and David Burns (notebook making, drawing and poetry)
- Tim Cook (musical composition)
